If there ever was a time to take good care of our immune system is definitely now. This simple recipe combines the amazing properties of turmeric with the comfort of a warm Latte at your own favorite coffee shop: your own lovely kitchen.

Preparation:

Warm Golden Milk:heat up a cup of your favorite milk, dairy, or plant-based, removing it from the flame just before it reaches the boiling point. Add one tbls of Golden Butter and whisk until well incorporated. Serve immediately.

Alternatively, if you have a milk frother just combine all ingredients and let it do its magic.

Golden Milkshake: place all ingredients in the blender with 2 ice cubes or even better, ice cream!

This is a basic recipe and can be used for most nuts and seeds: cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, coconut, tahini, macadamia, etc. If you’re looking for an extra pleasant treat add 1 pitted date or 1 tbls of your favorite sweetener ( honey, maple, molasses, etc).

2 tsp

Freshly ground black pepper

*Coconut shreds are dried coconut flakes, while coconut flour is the remaining pulp left from the extraction of coconut milk. Therefore coconut flour will be too high in fiber and too poor in coconut oil for this specific recipe.

Directions:

  1. Lightly roast the cashew nuts by placing them in a thin layer in a convection oven at 265°F/130°C for 10 minutes.
  2. Grind the cashews and the coconut shreds by pulse-crushing them in a Mixer-Grinder/Cuisinart for approximately 1 minute, obtaining a fine cashew and coconut wet sand-like mixture.
  3. Start adding the cashews and coconut mixture into your Premier Chocolate Refiner, until you obtain a smooth paste. If necessary, gently increase the temperature using a heat gun. Never exceed 140°F/60°C.
  4. Let process for about two hours.
  5. Once you obtained a creamy butter slowly add turmeric powder, ginger powder, and black pepper and let refine for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Your Golden Butter is now ready to be removed from the drumm and placed in an airtight container.

Yield:  Approximately 500 gr/2 ½ cups of Golden Butter.

Storage: Up to 3 months in an airtight container.
